MIXED MEDIA EXPRESSIONISM
This project explores mixed media as a means of working without hierarchy between materials, experience, or outcome. Participants are encouraged to experiment intuitively, layering mark, texture, and form in ways that prioritise process over polish.
Working both individually and collaboratively, artists engage with scale, contrast, and material resistance, allowing unexpected relationships to emerge. The emphasis is not on technical mastery, but on attention, decision-making, and the development of visual confidence through sustained engagement.
Mixed Media Expressionism supports artists at all stages of practice, offering a structured environment in which experimentation is taken seriously and individual responses are respected.
STILL LIFE PAINTING
This collaborative still life project focuses on observation, restraint, and shared attention. Working from a common arrangement, artists contribute to a collective process that values patience, proportion, and the quiet discipline of looking closely.
Rather than individual ownership of outcome, the project emphasises teamwork, negotiation, and continuity of practice. Each participant brings their own sensibility to the work, resulting in a layered and considered response shaped by multiple hands and perspectives.
The project reinforces still life as a foundational practice — not as exercise, but as a way of slowing down, refining perception, and working within shared constraints.
